It’s easy to participate: just upload , vote, and share
videos of your child or grandchild's first steps or early walking. It’s free to
enter and every participant has a chance to win $500 towards a 529 college
savings account. The parents of the videos with the highest votes will win some
incredible prizes that have been generously donated by Alaska Airlines,
Microsoft, Marriott Hotels and kind individual donors.
First Steps for SIDS is a nationwide campaign to raise
awareness & much needed funding for critical SIDS research. It is being
sponsored by the Aaron Matthew SIDS Research Guild of Seattle Children’s
Hospital and the American SIDS Institute. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)
is the leading cause of death among children one month to one year old across
all developed nations. This campaign recognizes an amazing milestone in a
child’s development -- their "first steps" -- while shining a light
on a serious issue that needs more attention and funding.
The Grand Prize
The video with the most votes will win our Grand Prize which
is a trip for the winner and three (3) additional guests to Disneyland in
California. Approximate Retail Value (ARV) $3000.
